Trump's signature probably became illegible around the 2000s - his second presidential bid.

Or when he was compering THE APPRENTICE.

Donald's handwriting looks a lot like Walt Disney - at least the logo

[I have not seen extended samples of the animation entrepreneur's handwriting].

Thank you for your comment, Adelaide.

I just found this which shows a very different, still legible, Trump's signature from the 1990s: https://www.reddit.com/r/Handwriting_Analysis/comments/db1ch4/found_donald_trumps_signature_from_90s_what_a/#lightbox

So, you maybe right about the timing.

Concerning Disney, I'm not sure what you mean. IMHO, it is much more creative with loops, curves, suppleness, ease and airiness, space between letters, and a playful, global look. But maybe I'm missing something.

Laurence:

I do see many of the things you see in the Disney signature.

I might raise you a Disney signature from Reddit [sadly the article which went with it was kaput!]

Here is another Disney signature - which was probably standardised

https://www.reddit.com/r/disney/comments/15ahlz6/is_this_a_real_walt_disney_signature/

About Trump's signature - that is probably a five-year threshold

[1999 to 2004].

According to one Groove: the Disney signature we know is by one Pinto Colvig.

Someone else's thing from 1965 - https://www.reddit.com/r/disney/comments/115pdqk/walt_disney_autograph/

The most similar to what I saw this afternoon after I looked at your link

https://www.reddit.com/r/disney/comments/3mh5cw/the_secret_history_of_walt_disneys_signature/

and the ACTUAL *Handwriting Analysis* subreddit link - https://www.reddit.com/r/Handwriting_Analysis/comments/b6yw11/the_real_walt_disney_signature/

A very comprehensive piece from Leonard Maltin

https://leonardmaltin.com/yours-truly-walt-disney/

The Maltin piece - when I see the Disney signatures from 1949 and 1934 - I do understand what you're talking about and what you see.

Space between letters: Trump signature is very crushing [the present-day one].

And "global" does have a specific meaning in graphology [especially of the French and German schools].

[different from the American schools or the popularisations].

Thank you for the links, Adelaide.

I'm not familiar with Reddit and didn't know it had so many handwriting discussions.

I didn't use "global" in a graphological sense. Sorry, but I am not a native English speaker. And I'm just realizing that you compared Trump's handwriting (and not signature) to Disney's signature. So now I see what you mean! They're both print/script. But Trump's handwriting wasn't always like that.

Sorry for my mistake. My previous answer was off the mark.
